The final book in the Harry Potter Series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released on July 21st, 2007 in English Speaking countries (just one week after the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Movie comes out). When I first started this blog just over 3 years ago (July, 2003) it was my second jaunt into internet pop culture. My foray into the culture of the web (after years of being a sort of web recluse) was to write a fanfic, then I created a blog, and now, now after these 3 years, I have published my first podcast episode. A Wedding

Friday the 5th of May was a very busy day. It began by driving my girlfriend to the airport so she could go home. She had to take a very early flight in order to make it home because later flights were filling up fast. I then went from the airport directly to work where I worked a long and full day. From the office I had to drive home as quickly as possible because I had to throw my stuff into my bag to go with the family back to the airport to fly to Illinois so that we could drive up to Wisconsin on Saturday to attend my sister’s wedding.

521,600 minutes, how do you measure a year

My how time flies. I went to my blog today and noticed, low and behold, that I hadn’t updated it in over a year (15 months to be more exact) and a lot certainly has happened in that year. With this new post I have also replaced my old blogging software (I was never quite happy with Blog:CMS) with WordPress, which I was reluctant to try, but now I find it to be such a good blogging software that I have no idea what I had against it for so long.

Road Warrior

Many of those of you who know me know and tease me about the fact that I hate driving. I don’t know why some people (e.g. JMac, who drives just for the sake of driving) love driving so much, it causes me physical pain. I really should get a car with cruise control or something so it doesn’t hurt so much, but after driving for a while my right heel hurts bad and generally I feel bad for being so cramped in the car, I just don’t like it. That said, Yesterday I got up early, after my shower got dressed as nicely as possible, and then drove down to Austin, TX to meet with the creators of the Metadot Portal Server.
